Adding to the year of broke gamers that is 2015, Rocket League is set to blast off exclusively on PlayStation 4 in the coming spring. From the developer who brought you the equally exclusive Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars (released on the PlayStation 3 in 2008 and has been downloaded over 2 million times), Rocket League will not only be shown at The PlayStation Experience, but will be playable in four-player split-screen on the show floor. What could be described as Twisted Metal meets Soccer, Rocket League promises to be a competitive sports-combat (seriously, so many hyphens) game with 8 players online, tournaments, and prizes. We’ll certainly learn and see more coming Friday, but until then you can check out some screenshots and a trailer below. As crazy as next year is looking for game releases, Rocket League looks like the kind of game that can stand out thanks to doing something no one else is doing, and looking really fun while doing it. Hopefully we’ll be able to get some hands on time before release and give you guys a better idea of what to expect, but early impressions are solid.
