Razer has kicked off the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas with the launch of three new products, disrupting the wearable, streaming and laptop product categories.
The Razer Nabu Watch is a full-featured digital timepiece that includes a Nabu secondary screen that previews notifications streamed from a smartphone, as well as tracks fitness and sleep activity via an in-built accelerometer. While smartwatches have proliferated the industry in 2015, one of the biggest challenges to the devices have been their battery life and their fundamental lack of capability as a multi-function watch. Razer addresses these issues by focusing first on the digital chronograph as the primary function and the smart features as a secondary addition.
Razer Stargazer is the world’s first webcam designed for streamers with industry-leading frame rate capture, Dynamic Background Removal, 3D scanning, facial and gesture recognition, and more. Razer Stargazer’s Dynamic Background Removal capability eliminates the need for full-scale green screen setups traditionally used by streamers. The webcam’s Intel RealSense Technology enables the camera to intelligently sense depth to separate foreground from background. This feature works with popular broadcasting software like OBS, XSplit and Razer Cortex: Gamecaster.
The ultimate Ultrabook, the Razer Blade Stealth, features an incredibly sleek form factor, the latest Intel Core i7 processor and a stunning 4K display, the ultra-thin notebook also gives gamers the option of unprecedented desktop-level gaming performance with the help of the Razer Core via Thunderbolt™ 3. Blade Stealth will be the first laptop in the world equipped with individually backlit RGB keys. Razer is also planning on disrupting the entire PC industry with an innovative new direct-to-consumer model that allows the new Blade Stealth to be sold with premium configurations, but at a lower price point relative to the competition.
