All of this sounds well, and good with one small issue. 95% of this game has already been done before. Don’t believe me? See for yourself.

Nathan..erm I mean Bizarro Nathan, and fellow adventurers who most definitely are not named Sully, and Elena. It gets worse, as that isn't a prerendered background they are standing in, it is a photograph.

At least the game is going to introduce players to a whole new way to dispatch enemies using a revolutionary new cover system..or not.

As much as I am criticizing the game it does have some intriguing notions. The story is based around a real life explorer who though less famous then Sir Francis Drake, is considered by many to be one of the greatest travelers of all time.  So the story if done properly could show promise. In addition there is an online free to play FPS available through social networks to tie in with the game up to its release. I tried to play it but the server kept crashing, this could just be a temporary issue due to overloaded servers or it could be a sign of what to expect when the game releases. I will be picking up Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta when it releases though if only to see just how much of the Uncharted series was “borrowed” for the game’s concept. The question is will you?
