So for those of you who were watching the Spike’s 2011 Video Game Awards, there was a plesant surprise when The Joker (voiced by Mark Hamill) won Character of The Year and during his unserious joking thank you speech was holding up a scrupt for Arkham World and muttered “spoiler alert” as he tossed it aside. A screenshot from the video can be seen below:
One thing that can discredit this is that Mark Hamill has said in interviews that his role as the voice of the iconic Batman villain in Arkham City would indeed be the last time he would fill that roll, unless they were to ever create a animated movie basedon one of the best selling Batman graphic novels ever released The Killing Joke, but for those of you who have completed Arkham City you know that it could indeed be possible for there to be a third installment in the series and if asked one would assume it would be tough for Mark Hamill to say no to being The Joker seeing as without his voice it wouldn’t be the same. But at the same time it could mean the developers could finally bring in other iconic Batman villains as well that haven’t been fully portrayed such as Hush, just one example who had a small side mission based story-line in Arkham City.
I’m sure we’ll hear more about whether or not this is indeed a rumored game or not next year at some point, but until then we can all sit around and wonder and fill up forums with our ideas of what could be Batman: Arkham World.
